Our basic karate program offers the fundamentals such as taiso (physical conditioning), kihon (basic movements), and kata (pre-ar- ranged sequences of movements). Students learn basic self-defense skills and are introduced to kumite (sparring). Students in the basic program may attend one curriculum class and one basic technique class per week. Saturday classes can be used as a make-up, substitution, or optional third class per week.
